Fighting for our kids with Story time
This Saturday, August 24 @ 10.30am, H4F is partnering with the ‘See You At The Library’ story time event to be held at the La Crescenta Library.
The event which is a fun pro-God pro-America story time for kids, is a national day where thousands of families come together at public libraries to host wholesome story hours that celebrate a return to American, Constitutional, and Biblical values.
It all started last year, when Kirk Cameron was denied by over 50 libraries to read his BRAVE books. BRAVE Books is a Christian publishing company that makes books for kids that reinforce biblically-based, foundational values. Kirk wrote letters to some of the libraries expressing his concern for their violation of the First Amendment and the libraries conceded.
As Kirk Cameron hosted story hours reading his book, many libraries and protesters attempted to thwart him. Even the director of the American Library Association gave libraries tips on how to shut down these pro-God, pro-America book readings.
From these challenges, the See You at the Library day was born! Last year attracted over 10,000 attendants, 300+ story hours, across 46 states.
If you haven't been to a story time in a while (maybe a long while!), it has a structured program with songs, activities, and of course, reading a story. Our story hour will be upbeat and fun with Hollywood 4 Freedom actors Tatum Shank and Siaka Massaquoi reading to the kids.
We encourage everyone to bring your kids and expose them to stories that not only enthrall them but build wholesome character.
